The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcinho Lopez got free with Aírton Couto in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Magno Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Edmundo de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joélson Antunes was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Giovanni Alcântara took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joélson Antunes. Joélson Antunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Giovanni Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Joélson Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Extrato FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo de Almeida in the 42nd minute of play forced Xixebal's goalkeeper Joélson Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Xixebal's protests and gave José Maria Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. Joélson Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Alcântara in the 70th minute of the match. When the match was over Extrato FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Xixebal throughout the match.
