Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hélio Meireles started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean do Valle in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Roberto do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evaristo Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélio Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. NEW TEAM 77's Evaristo Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Antunes in the 10th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Sílvio Luiz Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos FC and the NEW TEAM 77 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Amaral to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Beto Quaresma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Juninho Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juninho Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Evaristo Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jean do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 played minutes NEW TEAM 77 got a freekick which was hit by Beto Quaresma. In the 41st minute Benê Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
