With a left leg Carlos Alberto de Toledo saved Pirahy from getting behind. Carlos Alberto de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruy Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Kauan Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ruy Nogueira sped through Pirahy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Alberto de Toledo. The supporters of Pirahy booed when SCCP Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Cordeiro's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Kauan Trancoso hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Luís Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltazar Moreno hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Luís Cordeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Carlos Jacinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Cordeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the game, Luís Gustavo Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirahy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SCCP Corinthians the free kick. When SCCP Corinthians's Flavinho Saldanha in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Cordeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Pirahy's Luís Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot by Tiago Linares from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Carlos Alberto de Toledo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to SCCP Corinthians getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ruy Nogueira hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Luís Cordeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Carlos Jacinto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Carlos Alberto de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Santo Manex put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of José Carlos Jacinto. José Carlos Jacinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Donato went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the SCCP Corinthians players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pirahy.
