After a rather tough play, Catimbau AD's Mário Cavalcante got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Lenílson Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. Túlio Arce scored 2-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artur Mota, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Betão Reis in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Délio Cosme, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Délio Cosme made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Lenílson Quintal sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
