The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horácio Perez to strike the kick off in the second half. Lino Dracena came out of the goal and Egídio de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egídio de Toledo in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Dracena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th match minute, Mataruna AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Perez to maneuver through the defense. Lino Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio de Toledo in the 61st minute of play forced Mataruna AD's goalkeeper Lino Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mataruna AD's Lino Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Mataruna AD from getting a goal against them.
