Délio Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauã Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Pontes in the 23rd minute of play forced Paulistano FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Ulysses Leme made a precise shot to the right of Délio Severo. Vikings FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 38 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Pontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ramiro Loureiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ramiro Loureiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leopoldo Pontes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Paulistano FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Clemente Carvalho hit a great ball. The supporters of Vikings FC booed when Paulistano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulistano FC's Ramiro Loureiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Paulistano FC from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the match, Delfim Coutinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro Loureiro. Paulistano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delfim Coutinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. 74 minutes in the game, Leopoldo Pontes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ramiro Loureiro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Paulistano FC's Clemente Carvalho got a free kick in the 75th minute. Délio Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses Leme in the 77th minute of play. Ramiro Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Pontes in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Pontes in the 81st minute of play forced Paulistano FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Pontes had several of the Paulistano FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 83 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-5 score and a disappointed Ramiro Loureiro as he didn't even see the shot coming. Delfim Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Loureiro having to interfere. Leopoldo Pontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leopoldo Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Paulistano FC's zone, Delfim Coutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Loureiro came out of the goal and Delfim Coutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98th minute Leopoldo Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Paulistano FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vikings FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
