Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rinconada's Marcelinho Silva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Caco Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Garcia in the 12th minute of play forced Rinconada's goalkeeper Virgílio Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edson Paes came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Rinconada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edson Paes couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Amadeu Siqueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgílio Maranhense was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Virgílio Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caco Garcia in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Rinconada getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jacinto Gaúcho hit a great ball. Virgílio Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caco Garcia in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Amadeu Siqueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibirapua AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rinconada the free kick. Amadeu Siqueira hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Amadeu Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júnior Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Paes in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Rinconada's Edson Paes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júnior Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Jefferson Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amadeu Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgílio Maranhense was a little too slow when Caco Garcia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 2-0. Rinconada's Virgílio Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Rinconada from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Rinconada's zone, Caco Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgílio Maranhense came out of the goal and Caco Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caco Garcia to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Ibirapua AD's Júnior Barros got control of the ball when Edson Paes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Edmílson Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Edson Paes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jefferson Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Rinconada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jefferson Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Ibirapua AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Virgílio Maranhense came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ibirapua AD's Caco Garcia. But to his dismay, Caco Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Caco Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Virgílio Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgílio Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caco Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Virgílio Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, one of Rinconada:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rinconada. Edson Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Barros having to interfere. The supporters of Rinconada booed when Ibirapua AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jefferson Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ibirapua AD's Hélder de Lima got a free kick in the 91st minute. Virgílio Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Siqueira in the 98th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rinconada players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ibirapua AD.
