The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After having played for 13 minutes, Reynaldo da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alagacico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wágner Mumbach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe do Vale in the 15th minute of play. Gil Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Geraldo Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wágner Mumbach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fellipe do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Piratas Web Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo da Fonseca came free, but Wágner Mumbach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wágner Mumbach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fellipe Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Mazinho Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Gil Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reynaldo da Fonseca hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. If Gil Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Gil Cosme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geraldo Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When Fiori Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alagacico's protests and gave Fiori Vasconcelos a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fellipe Souto in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geraldo Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute, Gil Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
