After 3 minutes of play, Antari's Durvalino Dias made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Augusto das Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Soeiro in the 12th minute of play forced MI BR's goalkeeper José Augusto das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Samuca Varela recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amílton Queirós. Samuca Varela showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Durvalino Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto das Neves having to interfere. José Augusto das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Soeiro in the 19th minute of the match. When Samuca Varela came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the MI BR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuca Varela couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, Durvalino Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 minutes, Afonsinho Eger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MI BR and the Antari players grew even worse after the yellow card. Afonsinho Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Antari's Durvalino Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Leonel Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Antari's Tostão Goiano got a free kick in the 39th minute. A collision led to MI BR getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Percival de Mendonça hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Durvalino Dias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Augusto das Neves was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Samuca Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Abel dos Santos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and MI BR's José Augusto das Neves didn't even have to move. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Lucas was the one to do the kick off. Durvalino Dias might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Augusto das Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Durvalino Dias ran back to his position shaking his head. If Leonel Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. MI BR's José Augusto das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durvalino Dias in the 60th minute of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Durvalino Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durvalino Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 74 minutes, Dário Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Antari and the MI BR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Antari's Dário Senna got a free kick in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, MI BR's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Dias came free, but José Augusto das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Durvalino Dias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Augusto das Neves. That made the score 1-2 in the 85 minute of play. José Augusto das Neves was a little too slow when Durvalino Dias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 1-3. 93 minutes in the game, Durvalino Dias fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without José Augusto das Neves having to interfere. When the match was over Antari could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MI BR throughout the match.
