In the 28th minute Luís Guilherme Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisinho Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Severino Perez made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Chiquinho Marquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inácio Lara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Chiquinho Marquez charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Taguariaiva's zone, Luís Guilherme Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
