Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jefferson Toledo started the match with the kick off. Celso Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Tavares having to interfere. Paulo José Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Elano Sergipano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marquinhos Tavares was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 10th minute Jefferson Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Saquim's Marquinhos Tavares got control of the ball when Celso Vergílio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dé de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Bruninho de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Saquim got a freekick which was hit by Nando Tepedino. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo José Donato made a kick off. Saquim's Marquinhos Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Vergílio in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulo José Donato kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruninho de Sousa. That made the score 2-1 in the 57 minute of play. Elói Nascimento placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 64th minute Celso Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jefferson Toledo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Marquinhos Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jefferson Toledo's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Marquinhos Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jefferson Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marquinhos Tavares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jefferson Toledo went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Pimenta getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Elano Sergipano hit a great ball. Pimenta walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
