The audience thought a goal was coming when Chiel Lindenbergh got free with Carlos Fernando Bezerra in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Pirapo's Alex Fontes got a free kick in the 19th minute. Agustin Frascuelo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Flaresenha's Agustin Frascuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Amaral in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Flaresenha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Remigio to maneuver through the defense. Chiel Lindenbergh charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 76th minute, Pirapo's Walmir Freire ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Agustin Frascuelo. Agustin Frascuelo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. 80 minutes into the match, Pirapo's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Machado came free, but Carlos Fernando Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Pirapo's Walmir Freire slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Agustin Frascuelo. That made the score 0-3 after 81 minutes of play. Carlos Fernando Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Giovanni Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Giovanni Amaral notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Flaresenha's Agustin Frascuelo. Agustin Frascuelo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
