Spectators: 7251 (Terracing: 5440, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Flavinho Queirós took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 9 played minutes, Apenas Ruins's Fred de Toledo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Durval Brito came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Apenas Ruins reached it. After 14 minutes, Marcus Trancoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Apenas Ruins and the Arabuta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Apenas Ruins's Marcus Trancoso got a free kick in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the game, one of Apenas Ruins:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Adrianinho Prestes had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Horácio Peres's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Claudinei de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apenas Ruins's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Durval Brito came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Apenas Ruins's Cristian Sena. But to his dismay, Cristian Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Vágner Cunha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Adrianinho Prestes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sena in the 31st minute of play forced Arabuta's goalkeeper Durval Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durval Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Trancoso hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Horácio Peres, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Claudinei de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apenas Ruins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei de Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filipe Luz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Durval Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sena in the 51st minute. Arabuta's Durval Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Arabuta from getting a goal against them. Apenas Ruins were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Arabuta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcus Costa took the corner. When Cristian Sena came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Apenas Ruins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sena couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Claudinei de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apenas Ruins's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval Brito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute Cristian Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Claudinei de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
