Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cléber de Queiroz made the kick off which started today's match. After 4 played minutes Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Xavier. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Cléber de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabugirana's supporters rose to their feet, but Cléber de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Luís Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Campineiro's zone, Ronaldinho de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Luís Maia came out of the goal and Ronaldinho de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Campineiro's goalkeeper André Luís Maia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valério Mendonça. André Luís Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléber de Queiroz in the 11th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Campineiro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sabugirana:s goal. André Luís Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Miguel Vinhas fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sabugirana's protests and gave Miguel Vinhas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sabugirana getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Miguel Vinhas hit a great ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sabugirana's goalkeeper Patrick de Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 22 played minutes Sabugirana got a freekick which was hit by Valério Mendonça. André Luís Maia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valério Mendonça went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Gilmar Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Luís Fernando Sabóia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sabugirana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campineiro the free kick. Luís Fernando Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Patrick de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Britto in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilmar Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronaldinho de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hermínio Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Luís Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Vinhas in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Cléber de Queiroz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Luís Maia. Campineiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cléber de Queiroz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. André Luís Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 65th minute, Rubinho Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermínio Britto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermínio Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilmar Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Patrick de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber de Queiroz in the 84th minute of play forced Campineiro's goalkeeper André Luís Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Luís Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléber de Queiroz in the 92nd minute of the match. After 92 played minutes Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by Percival Paulista. Ronaldinho de Sena's late challenge caught a Campineiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronaldinho de Sena helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Campineiro booed when Sabugirana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sabugirana had won after a very even match.
