Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Emerson Peres got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Apody EC's goalkeeper Charles da Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genílson Barros. After a rather tough play, BOCA JUNIOR's Joélson Sampaio got a free kick in the 5th minute. The audience was convinced that Emerson Peres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jailson de Brito was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The supporters of Apody EC booed when BOCA JUNIOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cafu Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cláudio Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jailson de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genílson Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Charles da Silva made a huge save. Emerson Peres took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jailson de Brito. Jailson de Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emerson Peres in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jailson de Brito saved BOCA JUNIOR from getting behind. Emerson Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson de Brito having to interfere. If Genílson Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genílson Barros scored 1-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles da Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Apody EC's zone, Gugu Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles da Silva came out of the goal and Gugu Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Apody EC's Hílton Cerezo got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 44th match minute, BOCA JUNIOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Barros to maneuver through the defense. Emerson Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

When Apody EC's Emerson Peres in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BOCA JUNIOR's goalie prevented a goal. If Cristiano Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Tande in the 58th minute of play forced BOCA JUNIOR's goalkeeper Jailson de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jailson de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jailson de Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agenor Albuquerque in the 63rd minute. Hílton Cerezo might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jailson de Brito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hílton Cerezo ran back to his position shaking his head. Gugu Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Charles da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jailson de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Arantes in the 76th minute of play. Hílton Cerezo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Emerson Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apody EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jailson de Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Agenor Albuquerque came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Apody EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agenor Albuquerque couldn't finish the play. Emerson Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson de Brito having to interfere. If Emerson Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emerson Peress short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Jailson de Brito to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The BOCA JUNIOR fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Apody EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
