Wiliam Rosa started the match with the kick off. Agenor Paraense didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 4th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Rosa in the 12th minute of play forced Vikings's goalkeeper Dudu Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington Velloso's late challenge caught a Vikings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wellington Velloso helped the player get up and apologised. Wellington Velloso hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Vikings's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Rosa came free, but Dudu Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Joaquim Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gargorra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Matorin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Joaquim Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Hermes having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto dos Santos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Rosa in the 43rd minute of play forced Vikings's goalkeeper Dudu Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Gargorra booed when Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fábio Lara was the one to do the kick off. Wiliam Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dudu Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luiz Fábio Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 57 in the game by Joaquim Matorin from a close distance when the talented Dudu Hermes managed to make a qualified save. Vikings's players were relieved. Agenor Paraense came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Vikings's Danilo Alagoano. But to his dismay, Danilo Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Joaquim Matorin struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Dudu Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gargorra. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Matorin got free with Dudu Hermes in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vladimir de Carvalho was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 69 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the game, one of Vikings:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 81st minute, Joaquim Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vikings's zone, Joaquim Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dudu Hermes came out of the goal and Joaquim Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danilo Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Agenor Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Gargorra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Rosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute Danilo Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agenor Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danilo Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vikings fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gargorra had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
