Cajaziras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Real Olympic CF's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Dziechciowski came free, but Dênis Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Betinho Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Olympic CF's protests and gave Betinho Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Real Olympic CF defense, Robert Dziechciowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dênis Messias. The Real Olympic CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dênis Messias should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
