Guto Schmidt charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guto Schmidt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrézinho Velloso in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iuri Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anísio de Toledo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Mumbach having to make a save. 8 minutes into the game, Parente's Andrézinho Velloso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iuri Furtado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. José Vítor Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Igor Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glauco Valladares hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Palhal's Igor Mumbach threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from José Vítor Silveira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 28th match minute, Parente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. José Vítor Silveira took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igor Mumbach. Igor Mumbach dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Luiz Fabiano Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Vítor Silveira to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Simão couldn't finish the play. Palhal were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Parente for a fine match.
