The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ademar Urbano's late challenge caught a AQUI É GALO™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademar Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AQUI É GALO™ booed when Itahype was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Edinho Arruda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Délio Salles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Délio Salles made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Laerte Machado sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of AQUI É GALO™ booed when Itahype was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, AQUI É GALO™'s Albertinho Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Délio Salles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Itahype's Luiz Paulo Tróia got a free kick in the 20th minute. Laerte Machado had several of the Itahype's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 21 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Délio Salles as he didn't even see the shot coming. With his leg Délio Salles managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when AQUI É GALO™'s Laerte Machado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rodolfo Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute, Jailson Favoretto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodolfo Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Ramos in the 41st minute of play forced AQUI É GALO™'s goalkeeper Rodolfo Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Itahype getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ademar Urbano hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giovani Breckenfeld was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, AQUI É GALO™'s Rodolfo Godoi got control of the ball when Ademar Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Abelardo Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AQUI É GALO™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jailson Favoretto was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Albertinho Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Salles having to interfere. AQUI É GALO™'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Giovani Breckenfeld scored to the left of an out of position Rodolfo Godoi, making the score, 2-2. The audience was convinced that Laerte Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Délio Salles was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After 77 played minutes Itahype got a freekick which was hit by Giovani Breckenfeld. The AQUI É GALO™ fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when AQUI É GALO™'s Laerte Machado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Laerte Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Salles having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Laerte Machado put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Délio Salles. AQUI É GALO™'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
