Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glauco Leal ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glauco Leal in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cauã de Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Pescadores's zone, Giovanni Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauã de Barros came out of the goal and Giovanni Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cauã de Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glauco Leal went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Giovanni Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã de Barros having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pescadores defense, Glauco Leal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cauã de Barros. The Pescadores fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cauã de Barros should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Pescadores's zone, César Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauã de Barros came out of the goal and César Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giovanni Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã de Barros having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Emanuel Toscano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itupiranga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pescadores the free kick. The supporters of Pescadores booed when Itupiranga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Naldo Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Naldo Maranhense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Glauco Leal got free with Cauã de Barros in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute of the match Jeremias de Lara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cauã de Barros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Pescadores's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Leal came free, but Cauã de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 played minutes Pescadores got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Maranhense. Glauco Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Cauã de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glauco Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Glauco Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã de Barros having to interfere. Cauã de Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovanni Rosa in the 84th minute. Murilo Cabral charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murilo Cabral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pescadores booed when Itupiranga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Pescadores fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Itupiranga were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
