Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elias Pitta kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Amargoso defense, Frédson Alvarenga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráusio Braga. The Amargoso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráusio Braga should have stopped the shot. After 6 played minutes Amargoso got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Netto. Dráusio Braga stood somewhat misplaced when Frédson Alvarenga came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 7 minute. Frédson Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Dráusio Braga made a huge save. If Elias Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José do Valle having to interfere. Paulo José do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Amargoso's Elias Pitta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo José do Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Manoel Penha struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Dráusio Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arius. 35 minutes into the match, Amargoso's goal looked a bit too open when Manoel Penha came free, but Dráusio Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amargoso's Dráusio Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manoel Penha in the 37th minute of play. Maicon Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maicon Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Maicon Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 41 minutes, Manoel Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arius's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manoel Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dráusio Braga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frédson Alvarenga in the 44th minute. Frédson Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manoel Penha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Frédson Alvarenga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dráusio Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frédson Alvarenga in the 59th minute of play. Frédson Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Frédson Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulo José do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Arius getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. João Adolfo Eger hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Amargoso's Valdemar Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo José do Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arius were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Amargoso for a fine match.
