Darryl Cochran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Humberto Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Vianna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Alfredo Pizzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montes Claros F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Pizzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Vianna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Montes Claros F.C. booed when Finlandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardinho Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Montes Claros F.C.'s Darryl Cochran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Vianna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Montes Claros F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Abraão came free, but 尹志骋 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Vianna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Paulo Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Vianna having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rômulo Abraão was the one to do the kick off. Alfredo Pizzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Vianna having to make a save. Humberto Vianna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Pizzi went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Bernardinho Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Pizzi in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Vianna saved Finlandia from getting behind. 4-1 became the score in the 69th minute when Rômulo Abraão elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. José Paulo Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Vianna having to interfere. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Alfredo Pizzi sped through Finlandia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Humberto Vianna. Humberto Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Pizzi in the 79th minute of the match. Darryl Cochran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Finlandia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Darryl Cochran was slow to take the kick. During this time Montes Claros F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed José Paulo Mattos to score against Humberto Vianna in Finlandia's goal. 6-1 after 83 minutes. 87 minutes into the match, Finlandia's Bernardinho Valladares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 尹志骋 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Humberto Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Anaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute Alfredo Pizzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rômulo Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montes Claros F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
