If Dida Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cassinum EC's Zé Augusto Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dida Torres in the 7th minute of play. Kiko Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Pombal made a huge save. Dida Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Dalmo Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cassinum EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo Bittencourt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute Dieguinho Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dieguinho Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Rezende having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Papaokena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Kiko Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Augusto Pombal having to interfere. Kiko Teixeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Augusto Pombal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Dalmo Bittencourt made the kick off in the second half. Papaokena's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Dalmo Bittencourt scored to the left of an out of position Osvaldo Rezende, making the score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Torres in the 63rd minute of play forced Cassinum EC's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Torres in the 64th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Cassinum EC's Dalmo Bittencourt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldo Rezende narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fernando das Neves was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dieguinho Vaz struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Osvaldo Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cassinum EC. Cassinum EC's Zé Augusto Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kiko Teixeira in the 81st minute of play. Osvaldo Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmo Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Augusto Pombal didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Papaokena's Dida Torres shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cassinum EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Papaokena.
