Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tião Pimenta made the kick off and thus started the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafa Trigo in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Paulo Albuquerque saved Tayassu from getting behind. In the 11th match minute, Tayassu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Rosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Rafa Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes, Zé Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tayassu and the Potinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Zé Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Potinha's Rafa Trigo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Paulo Albuquerque narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 17 minutes, Rafa Trigo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tayassu's Luiz Paulo Albuquerque tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Tayassu's zone, Jonas Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Paulo Albuquerque came out of the goal and Jonas Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Tayassu's Bebeto Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Durvalino Lopez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tião Pimenta in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durvalino Lopez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Durvalino Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Pimenta in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Pimenta in the 35th minute of play forced Potinha's goalkeeper Durvalino Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Júnior Mandrak in the 37th minute really tested Durvalino Lopez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 42nd minute, Percival Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Paulo Albuquerque came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Potinha's Rafa Trigo. But to his dismay, Rafa Trigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Tayassu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Potinha were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Rafa Trigo made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Eusébio Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agostinho Peres was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bebeto Carneiro in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durvalino Lopez saved Potinha from getting behind. Durvalino Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tião Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tião Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Durvalino Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Potinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio de Senna to maneuver through the defense. Agostinho Peres's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Durvalino Lopez - 2-2 was put on the score board in the 77th minute. Rafa Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Luiz Paulo Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durvalino Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Pimenta in the 88th minute of the match. Hortêncio de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Durvalino Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tião Pimenta in the 94th minute of play. Durvalino Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Pimenta in the 95th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Potinha failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
