Ian Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Ronaldinho Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Laranja Mecânica F.C.'s Lucjan Ostrowski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After some careless play in the Laranja Mecânica F.C. defense, Custódio Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Ferraz. The Laranja Mecânica F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Ferraz should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ian Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laranja Mecânica F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Morungaba's Hílton Xavier got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Ian Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Enrique Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st play minute Lucjan Ostrowski came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronaldinho Quadros. 2-1. Ronaldinho Quadros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucjan Ostrowski in the 34th minute. From close distance Lucjan Ostrowski pressed in the 3-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 36 minutes into the game. 4-1 became the score in the 42nd minute when Ian Pires elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Ian Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ian Pires to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Terra in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldinho Quadros saved Morungaba from getting behind. Ronaldinho Quadros came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Laranja Mecânica F.C.'s Ian Pires. But to his dismay, Ian Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. If Ian Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Morungaba's Ronaldinho Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucjan Ostrowski in the 63rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Morungaba defense, Ian Pires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldinho Quadros. The Morungaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldinho Quadros should have stopped the shot. In the 69thth minute of the game Lucjan Ostrowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Morungaba's Ronaldinho Quadros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ian Pires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronaldinho Quadros having to make a save. Cristiano Xavier might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Ferraz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristiano Xavier ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Xavier got free with Joel Ferraz in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucjan Ostrowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ronaldinho Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play, Laranja Mecânica F.C.'s Benjamin Terra made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronaldinho Quadros was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute, Faustão Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Régis Coelho, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ronaldinho Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute of the game, Ian Pires landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 96 minutes, Joaquim Faustino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morungaba and the Laranja Mecânica F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Morungaba! The referee gave Laranja Mecânica F.C. a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Régis Coelho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Morungaba's Ronaldinho Quadros. 8-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Laranja Mecânica F.C. had played much better football throughout.
