Agenor Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agenor Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Rubens do Vale, was totally fooled by EC Copero y Peleador's Daniel Coelho, who 37 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Carlos Eduardo Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Eduardo Madureira in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind EC Copero y Peleador's goalkeeper Bruno Matorin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rubens do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Severo in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, EC Copero y Peleador's Bruno Matorin got control of the ball when Carlos Eduardo Madureira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 99 minutes, Vinícius Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nictheroy SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. EC Copero y Peleador's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
