The audience was convinced that Telmo Sanches's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Renato de Amaral was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Paulo Renato de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 11th minute of the match Alexsandro Sousa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Renato de Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mateus Macedo during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mateus Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Jonathan Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato de Amaral having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Missi EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Antunes to maneuver through the defense. With 25 minutes on the clock, Juvenal Domingues commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 24 minutes into the game, one of Trovadores FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Trovadores FC's Telmo Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Renato de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Sanches in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telmo Sanches in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Renato de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 played minutes, Trovadores FC's Alexsandro Sousa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Renato de Amaral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Trovadores FC reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Telmo Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes into the game, Missi EC's Pedrão Carioca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulisses Carioca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 64 minutes, Hílton Rosado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Missi EC and the Trovadores FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hílton Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Zézinho Sergipano made a precise shot to the right of Ulisses Carioca. Trovadores FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When Faustão Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Trovadores FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustão Domingues couldn't finish the play. Telmo Sanches took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Renato de Amaral. Paulo Renato de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Trovadores FC's Mateus Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulisses Carioca came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Missi EC's Pedrão Carioca. But to his dismay, Pedrão Carioca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The Missi EC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
