The corner led ROSÁRIO SPORT's Eusébio Donatello to a score. 0-2 in the 24th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Barra F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Senna came free, but Walmyr Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr Botelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Senna in the 33rd minute of the match. Romário Senna struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Walmyr Botelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROSÁRIO SPORT. Walmyr Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Vianna in the 36th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Romário Senna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walmyr Botelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruy Vianna was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Romário Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walmyr Botelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Walmyr Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Vianna in the 62nd minute of play. Romário Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Walmyr Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Luís Eduardo Aparecido made a precise shot to the right of Claudinei Proença. ROSÁRIO SPORT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Diamantino Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Barra F.C's zone, Maurinho Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmyr Botelho came out of the goal and Maurinho Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinei Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diamantino Barros in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinei Proença saved ROSÁRIO SPORT from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Luís Eduardo Aparecido left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barra F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Ruy Vianna got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of ROSÁRIO SPORT booed when Barra F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th match minute, Barra F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Walmyr Botelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Vianna in the 98th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ROSÁRIO SPORT walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
