Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Américo Paraense started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Álvaro Loureiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cerquinho SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Cerquinho SS booed when Itaruma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nando Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Cearense in the 12th minute of play forced Itaruma's goalkeeper Moisés de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moisés de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Loureiro in the 15th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Américo Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerquinho SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Américo Paraense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Itaruma getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Túlio Diniz hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Álvaro Loureiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nando Salles made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Álvaro Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moisés de Sousa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Álvaro Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Salles in the 60th minute of play forced Cerquinho SS's goalkeeper Jeferson Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Álvaro Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Conrado Britto fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itaruma's protests and gave Conrado Britto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Itaruma's Conrado Britto got a free kick in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Itaruma's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Mangueira came free, but Moisés de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cerquinho SS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Richard Pimenta in the 87th minute. Álvaro Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cerquinho SS played a much better game than Itaruma and deserved their victory. The Itaruma players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
