After 6 played minutes Estreito FC got a freekick which was hit by Almir Sena. 9 minutes into the game, Liviu Săvoiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Betão Dionísio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Betão Dionísio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Betão Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Săvoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Douglas Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Săvoiu in the 19th minute of play forced Estreito FC's goalkeeper Betão Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Conrado Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiago Furlan hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Liviu Săvoiu struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Betão Dionísio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saara EC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Alcântara in the 30th minute of play forced Estreito FC's goalkeeper Betão Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Saara EC's goalkeeper Albertinho da Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremias Paulista. Liviu Săvoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão Dionísio having to interfere. When Jeremias Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Estreito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Paulista couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Estreito FC's Conrado Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albertinho da Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Saara EC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Joélson Viana hit a great ball. After the first half Saara EC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Joélson Viana was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 50 minutes had been played. Joélson Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Conrado Figueiredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albertinho da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 55th minute, Conrado Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 played minutes Estreito FC got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Figueiredo. Cléber Faustino's late challenge caught a Estreito FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cléber Faustino helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Saara EC got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Faustino. Jeremias Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Albertinho da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liviu Săvoiu struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Betão Dionísio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saara EC. Albertinho da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Sena in the 74th minute of play. If Jeremias Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liviu Săvoiu struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Betão Dionísio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saara EC. With his leg Betão Dionísio managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Saara EC's Liviu Săvoiu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liviu Săvoiu got free with Betão Dionísio in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 95 minutes into the match, Estreito FC's goalkeeper Betão Dionísio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liviu Săvoiu. Estreito FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Saara EC had controlled the match.
