After a defensive mix-up in RaToX's zone, Ricardo Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebeto Simão came out of the goal and Ricardo Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute Vladimir Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dida Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to RaToX getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Dida Pereira hit a great ball. RaToX's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catuipe the free kick. After 41 played minutes RaToX got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Catarinense. Bebeto Simão came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Catuipe's Vladimir Baiano. But to his dismay, Vladimir Baiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vladimir Baiano made a kick off. Ricardo Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladimir Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Bebeto Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Bebeto Simão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catuipe. Vladimir Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Simão having to interfere. RaToX's Bebeto Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Baiano in the 61st minute of play. Bebeto Simão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladimir Baiano's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. RaToX's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Ricardo Bittencourt scored to the left of an out of position Bebeto Simão, making the score, 1-2. In the 70th minute, Cristiano Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dida Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas Soeiro during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes RaToX got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Soeiro. 80 minutes in the game Cristiano Marinho got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. In the 84th minute, one of Catuipe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Catuipe. After 89 played minutes Catuipe got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Mesquita. RaToX were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Catuipe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arthur Coelho took the corner. Valério Silva was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Vladimir Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Catuipe eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
