Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Golabeira's Angelo Aguiar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristiano Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Angelo Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Yuri Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Baiano in the 6th minute of play forced Golabeira's goalkeeper Arí Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 played minutes, Golabeira's Luís Guilherme Quirino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yuri Alagoano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Golabeira reached it. In the 11th minute Angelo Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Golabeira booed when Catuipe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Alagoano having to interfere. Alexsandro Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Golabeira's Alexsandro Azevedo in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catuipe's goalie prevented a goal. Golabeira's Alexsandro Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arí Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Baiano in the 34th minute of play. If Cristiano Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cipriano Ferreira in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arí Valadares saved Golabeira from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Vladimir Baiano took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Arí Valadares to make any attempt to save it. Yuri Alagoano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Aguiar went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Vladimir Baiano made the kick off in the second half. Alexsandro Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Alagoano having to interfere. Raúl Cabral's late challenge caught a Catuipe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raúl Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Golabeira's Raúl Cabral got a free kick in the 66th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Catuipe's Iuri Mesquita tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alexsandro Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yuri Alagoano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Catuipe's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Aguiar came free, but Yuri Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Catuipe's Yuri Alagoano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Catuipe from getting a goal against them. Vladimir Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Raúl Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimir Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Arí Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Golabeira's zone, Cristiano Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arí Valadares came out of the goal and Cristiano Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Catuipe's Ricardo Bittencourt got a free kick in the 95th minute. Golabeira's Angelo Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexsandro Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Yuri Alagoano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golabeira. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
