After a defensive mix-up in Ipoema SC's zone, Henrique Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo de Godoi came out of the goal and Henrique Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henrique Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo de Godoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrique Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. Sidney Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo de Godoi. Paulo de Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sidney Souza's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The supporters of Ipoema SC booed when Otaku FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Sidney Souza struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Paulo de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Otaku FC. Caco Furlan charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caco Furlan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Caco Furlan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Sidney Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Bernardinho Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Caco Furlan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. Ipoema SC's Paulo de Godoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Ipoema SC from getting a goal against them. Ipoema SC's Paulo de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Souza in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardinho Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Ipoema SC's Emílio Meireles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cido Batista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vitório da Rocha's late challenge caught a Otaku FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vitório da Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Ipoema SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bebeto Rocha during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Otaku FC got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Rocha. Paulo de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Fernandes in the 72nd minute of the match. Bernardinho Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Cido Batista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipoema SC. If Sidney Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo de Godoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidney Souza went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Otaku FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ipoema SC for a fine match.
