With 3 minutes on the clock, Zlatko Dyakov commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Zlatko Dyakov hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Samuca Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Fantini in the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Marcelo Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes, Olavo Jacinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lirex EC and the Petrópolis FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Lirex EC got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Jacinto. Dedé Negri made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Nestor Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the match, Petrópolis FC's goalkeeper Dedé Negri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Augusto do Nascimento. In the 20th minute 姚朗宇 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wellington Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Ceresso in the 26th minute of play forced Petrópolis FC's goalkeeper Dedé Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th match minute, Petrópolis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Senna to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes Petrópolis FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Vulcano. If 姚朗宇 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Olavo Jacinto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dedé Negri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dedé Negri made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when José Augusto do Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Petrópolis FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Rony Palmeira hit a great ball. In the 49th minute of the match Cássio Mandrak shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dedé Negri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Dedé Negri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Augusto do Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. José Augusto do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lirex EC's Samuca Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Vulcano in the 58th minute of play. Petrópolis FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Lirex EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alan Coutinho took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Marcelo Fantini managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With an all-out effort, Petrópolis FC's Samuca Barral threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmondo Vulcano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Samuca Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Dedé Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Petrópolis FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Augusto do Nascimento came free, but Dedé Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dedé Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Augusto do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dedé Negri came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Lirex EC's José Augusto do Nascimento. But to his dismay, José Augusto do Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Petrópolis FC made a substitution. João Pedro Ferreira replaced Alan Coutinho. 姚朗宇 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute Marcelo Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Petrópolis FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! Marcelo Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuca Barral having to interfere. Lirex EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Petrópolis FC for a fine match.
