Taquary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duda Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durval Saraiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michel França. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Durval Saraiva ran back to his position shaking his head. Duda Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel França having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Taquary's zone, Durval Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel França came out of the goal and Durval Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michel França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duda Berger in the 38th minute of play. Duda Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Michel França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 64th match minute, Seguro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duda Berger to maneuver through the defense. Glauco Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho Pitta in the 65th minute of the match. Seguro's Glauco Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armandinho Pitta in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Taquary booed when Seguro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Durval Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 1-5 became the score in the 77th minute when Durval Saraiva elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 85th minute Paulo José Abraão suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 87th minute, Miguel Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glauco Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Durval Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Michel França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Taquary fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Seguro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
