Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cacá Marinho got the match started through his kick off. Ibitupa FC's Baltazar Bastos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Ibitupa FC from getting a goal against them. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibitupa FC's goalkeeper Baltazar Bastos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugênio Araújo in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltazar Bastos saved Ibitupa FC from getting behind. Rony Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Erasmo Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Alexandre Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fred Melo's late challenge caught a Tarrafa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Melo helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Ibitupa FC got a freekick which was hit by Fred Melo. In the 17th minute of the match Leonel Bastos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baltazar Bastos skillfully saved the ball. Baltazar Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugênio Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ibitupa FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! 27 minutes into the game, Ibitupa FC's Alexandre Maciel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dida Sampaio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Baltazar Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugênio Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rony Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Eugênio Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38thth minute of the game Eugênio Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibitupa FC's Baltazar Bastos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th match minute, Ibitupa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. Baltazar Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugênio Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuca Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Baltazar Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugênio Araújo to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Eugênio Araújo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baltazar Bastos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Baltazar Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugênio Araújo in the 62nd minute of the match. Baltazar Bastos came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Tarrafa's Eugênio Araújo. But to his dismay, Eugênio Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. When Erasmo Martins was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. After having played for 71 minutes, Samuca Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarrafa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuca Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Maciel got free with Dida Sampaio in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fred Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Ibitupa FC got a freekick which was hit by Rony Gaúcho. Eugênio Araújo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Baltazar Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarrafa. Ibitupa FC's Fred Melo got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Fred Melo off the ground. A collision led to Ibitupa FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Fred Melo hit a great ball.
