An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Cavalcante in the 12th minute of play forced Irece FC's goalkeeper Nilton Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Rubro-Negro's Nilton Sampaio threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zé Paulo Cavalcante, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nilton Sampaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldinho Braga in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Fabiano Lucas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nilton Sampaio. The supporters of Rubro-Negro booed when Irece FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Dênis Nóbrega notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Irece FC's Nilton Sampaio. Nilton Sampaio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nilton Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Zé Paulo Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulinho Trancoso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Dênis Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
