Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Paulinho Valadares took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Percy Martins during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Percy Martins was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 8 minutes had been played. Vítor Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Laerte Melo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BoleirosFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio FC the free kick. The supporters of Grêmio FC booed when BoleirosFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Paulinho Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tales Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes, Mathias Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio FC and the BoleirosFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Mathias Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurinho da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Emanuel Sanches was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Grêmio FC's Tales Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio FC from getting a goal against them. In the 25th match minute, Grêmio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho da Costa to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes Grêmio FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Sanches who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Emanuel Sanches got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tales Salgado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to BoleirosFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. José Carlos Camargo hit a great ball. Ezequiel Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Travassos took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ezequiel Rosa. Ezequiel Rosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ezequiel Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, BoleirosFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carlos Camargo to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, BoleirosFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Travassos came free, but Ezequiel Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Álvaro Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vítor Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ezequiel Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Travassos to make the kick off. When Maurinho da Costa came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Grêmio FC fans jumped to their feet. Ezequiel Rosa made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Vítor Travassos sent off a good shot on target. Maurinho da Costa hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Washington Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tales Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Maurinho da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurinho da Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vítor Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, BoleirosFC's Ezequiel Rosa got control of the ball when Álvaro Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grêmio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Rosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Vítor Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Grêmio FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than BoleirosFC.
