If Amadeu Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Canicura booed when ATLHETIC F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wellington da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Samuca Gaúcho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hílton de Almeida. ATLHETIC F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuca Gaúcho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amadeu Queiroz in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hílton de Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeu Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Hílton de Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canicura. Samuca Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton de Almeida having to interfere. A collision led to ATLHETIC F.C getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Wellington da Costa hit a great ball. Canicura's Elano Barreto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ATLHETIC F.C. If Amadeu Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in ATLHETIC F.C's zone, Samuca Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton de Almeida came out of the goal and Samuca Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hílton de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 42nd minute, Amadeu Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hílton de Almeida was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wellington da Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the ATLHETIC F.C defense, Amadeu Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hílton de Almeida. The ATLHETIC F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hílton de Almeida should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Queiroz in the 69th minute of play forced ATLHETIC F.C's goalkeeper Hílton de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Canicura's Amadeu Queiroz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hílton de Almeida. That made the score 0-6 after 71 minutes of play. Samuca Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton de Almeida having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind ATLHETIC F.C's goalkeeper Hílton de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to ATLHETIC F.C getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Wellington da Costa hit a great ball. If Wellington da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuca Gaúcho got free with Hílton de Almeida in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Canicura's Allan Bertassi got a free kick in the 91st minute. If Samuca Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
