But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavinho Toledo couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Teodoros AD defense, Josué Sarmento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexsandro Cardozo. The Teodoros AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexsandro Cardozo should have stopped the shot. Josué Sarmento came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alexsandro Cardozo could save by the left post. In the 27th minute Flavinho Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexsandro Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Flavinho Toledo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexsandro Cardozo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavinho Toledo in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexsandro Cardozo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teodoros AD's Alexsandro Cardozo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Teodoros AD from getting a goal against them.
