Spectators: 6657 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fausto Mello started the match with the kick off. Ronaldão Linares in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Flavinho Arruda, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Gilmar Ceresso fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hertz's protests and gave Gilmar Ceresso a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tempera SC booed when Hertz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Hertz's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo Vander came free, but Flavinho Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavinho Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willian Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ediberto Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio das Neves having to interfere. 15 minutes in the game, Fausto Mello dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Décio das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Ortiz in the 17th minute of the match. Fausto Mello scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Décio das Neves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Willian Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavinho Arruda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willian Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. Ronaldão Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho Arruda having to interfere. Ronaldão Linares came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Flavinho Arruda could save by the left post. In the 40th minute Ediberto Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ediberto Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ronaldão Linares came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Tempera SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldão Linares couldn't finish the play. Flavinho Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Vander in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Paulo Vander made a kick off. A nice corner shot did that Luiz Paulo Marquez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavinho Arruda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Zé Paulo Vander scored 1-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavinho Arruda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th match minute, Tempera SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Ediberto Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio das Neves having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Fausto Mello lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Décio das Neves. Robinho de Queiroz's late challenge caught a Tempera SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robinho de Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Robinho de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Oséas Reis fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hertz's protests and gave Oséas Reis a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes Hertz got a freekick which was hit by Oséas Reis. When Luiz Paulo Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Tempera SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Paulo Marquez couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Fausto Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hertz's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Décio das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Tempera SC's Fábio Antunes got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 86th match minute, Hertz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho Motta to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Tempera SC's Luiz Paulo Marquez tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Vander in the 89th minute of play forced Hertz's goalkeeper Flavinho Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Ronaldão Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavinho Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hertz walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
