Túlio Meirelles might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermínio Arruda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Túlio Meirelles ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jeferson Tasso made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Compasso got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Tasso. Goiaberira's Matías do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Goiaberira from getting a goal against them.
