Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Frederico Capixaba started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Acácio Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Sena having to interfere. Espinhal's Geovani Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Espinhal from getting a goal against them. Laerte Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Waldir Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Waldir Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Paranaense in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Espinhal's goalkeeper Geovani Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leopoldo Massa. 23 minutes into the match, Espinhal's Zé Carlos Paranaense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldir Rocha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Waldir Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Carlos Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Waldir Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Carlos Paranaense in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldir Rocha saved Clube Piraju de Futebol from getting behind. Zé Carlos Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Acácio Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute of the match Zé Carlos Marquez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waldir Rocha skillfully saved the ball. Frederico Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Carlos Paranaense to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Laerte Neves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Espinhal's Zé Carlos Paranaense managed to work through Clube Piraju de Futebol's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Zé Carlos Paranaense dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After having played for 61 minutes, Frederico Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Piraju de Futebol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederico Capixaba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 1-0 became the score in the 66th minute when Frederico Capixaba elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Espinhal got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Loureiro. Zé Carlos Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Rocha having to interfere. In the 79th minute Frederico Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani Sena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frederico Capixaba's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Geovani Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leopoldo Massa scored 2-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geovani Sena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
