The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Favoretto got free with Duda Araújo in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilton Meira in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duda Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iuri de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Duda Araújo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wilton Meira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 35 minute of play. Duda Araújo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcel Favoretto went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Wilton Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Araújo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Wilton Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Itapissuma fully deserved thier win.
