In the 24th minute Alberto Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandinho Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valério Lopes in the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Flavinho Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porvir and the Aranau players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cícero Prata took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Tinoco. Gustavo Tinoco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silas Britto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Tinoco made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Cícero Prata sent off a good shot on target. Gustavo Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomás Barral in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomás Barral in the 68th minute of play forced Aranau's goalkeeper Gustavo Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Gustavo Tinoco throw himself and got hold of the ball when Thomás Barral in the 68thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Gustavo Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Britto in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Silas Britto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gustavo Tinoco. Silas Britto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. When Júlio Diniz fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aranau's protests and gave Júlio Diniz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Aranau getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Júlio Diniz hit a great ball. Aranau's Gustavo Tinoco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Aranau from getting a goal against them. Aranau's Gustavo Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Barral in the 81st minute of play.
