Túlio Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 29 played minutes Trindade got a freekick which was hit by Armando Miranda. Sílvio Freire struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Túlio Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trindade. Armando Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Guimarães having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Armando Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for César Passos to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Salinas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trindade:s goal. The referee gave Trindade a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anselmo Fernandez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Salinas FC's Túlio Guimarães. 2-0. 58 minutes into the match, Trindade's Armando Miranda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Túlio Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sílvio Freire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Túlio Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Miranda in the 64th minute of play forced Salinas FC's goalkeeper Túlio Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Salinas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Miranda came free, but Túlio Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes, Gildo Proença mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salinas FC and the Trindade players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Salinas FC's zone, Armando Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Túlio Guimarães came out of the goal and Armando Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sílvio Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Túlio Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Salinas FC booed when Trindade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gildo Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Anselmo Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Túlio Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Trindade were the better team. Trindade's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
