After a rather tough play, Itaia's Wilson Loureiro got a free kick in the 5th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilson Loureiro during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Itaia getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Wilson Loureiro hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Alexandre Duarte successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 10 minutes into the game, Dráuzio Falcão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alexandre Duarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Dráuzio Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Genuino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráuzio Falcão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute Armando Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Cearense in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Itaia's zone, Armando Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Duarte came out of the goal and Armando Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Armando Cearense dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alexandre Duarte, 2-0. Armando Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Itaia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Armando Cearense 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. When Dráuzio Falcão came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Genuino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Falcão couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Itaia getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Wilson Loureiro hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilson Loureiro was the one to do the kick off. Alexandre Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Moreira in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Armando Cearense notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Itaia's Alexandre Duarte. Alexandre Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th minute Dráuzio Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráuzio Falcão scored 5-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 minutes, Armando Cearense made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Itaia's Alexandre Duarte tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dráuzio Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Maurinho Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itaia's protests and gave Maurinho Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. 81 minutes into the match, Itaia's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Falcão came free, but Alexandre Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dráuzio Falcão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Duarte having to make a save.
