Dênis Abraão might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cauã Chaves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dênis Abraão ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13th minute, Osvaldo Paraíba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cauã Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Joanico's Wilton Meira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Horácio Pinheiro. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Osvaldo Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube de Regata SWAT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horácio Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Dênis Abraão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joanico's Cauã Chaves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 32 minutes, Amadeu Ortiz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joanico and the Clube de Regata SWAT players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Joanico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dênis Abraão in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauã Chaves saved Joanico from getting behind. In the 55th minute, Giovanni Tasso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilton Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Silas do Nascimento hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Osvaldo Paraíba fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Gilson Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Osvaldo Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Joanico booed when Clube de Regata SWAT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Osvaldo Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Clube de Regata SWAT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Paraíba couldn't finish the play. After having played for 96 minutes, Osvaldo Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube de Regata SWAT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clube de Regata SWAT played a much better game than Joanico and deserved their victory. The Joanico players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
