Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Umberto Rosado kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute Ademir Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvinho Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baltazar Cavalcante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Silvinho Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC ESCALADE's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltazar Cavalcante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronaldinho de Almeida hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Gualter Passos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 19 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ravenous FC's Gualter Passos got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Ademir Prata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC ESCALADE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to FC ESCALADE getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ronaldinho de Almeida hit a great ball. The long shot by Umberto Rosado in the 25th minute really tested Eusebiu Filip's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 29th minute Silvinho Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 31 minutes, Júnior Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ravenous FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute of the match, Dráusio Severo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eusebiu Filip was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Baltazar Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Gonçalves in the 39th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Júnior Castro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eusebiu Filip. That made the score 1-1 in the 45 minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arí Gonçalves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Romário Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ravenous FC's Baltazar Cavalcante got control of the ball when Silvinho Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Arí Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the game, Arí Gonçalves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Baltazar Cavalcante. Arí Gonçalves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Baltazar Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvinho Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute Júnior Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebiu Filip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nando França kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, FC ESCALADE's Silvinho Silveira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baltazar Cavalcante. Baltazar Cavalcante yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. After some careless play in the Ravenous FC defense, Ademir Prata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltazar Cavalcante. The Ravenous FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltazar Cavalcante should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute, Alberto da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arí Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded FC ESCALADE left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ravenous FC.
