The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emílio Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Baltazar Cavalcante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miliardus Futebol Clube. Umberto Rosado succeeded in the game's 9th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. A collision led to Miliardus Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Adriano Brasil hit a great ball. Ulisses de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pancracio Herrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miliardus Futebol Clube's Pancracio Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Rosado in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Rosado in the 21st minute of play forced Miliardus Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Pancracio Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emílio Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jeroen Mampaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pancracio Herrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 played minutes Miliardus Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Lago. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Emílio Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miliardus Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Emílio Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltazar Cavalcante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute Umberto Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pancracio Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Umberto Rosado was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Miliardus Futebol Clube's zone, Júnior Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pancracio Herrera came out of the goal and Júnior Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes into the match, Miliardus Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Rosado came free, but Pancracio Herrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ravenous FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Silvinho Trigo scored to the left of an out of position Baltazar Cavalcante, making the score, 1-1. Baltazar Cavalcante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Aguiar in the 61st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulisses de Carvalho during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Miliardus Futebol Clube booed when Ravenous FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulisses de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Lima hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Emílio Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Baltazar Cavalcante made a huge save. When Silvinho Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Miliardus Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvinho Trigo couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Ravenous FC's Baltazar Cavalcante got control of the ball when Adriano Brasil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Délio Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Pancracio Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Castro in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ravenous FC's goalkeeper Baltazar Cavalcante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Miliardus Futebol Clube's Serginho Lago got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 92nd minute Júnior Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pancracio Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Umberto Rosado hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Emílio Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Miliardus Futebol Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ravenous FC.
